United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley has a great opportunity to grant out used notebook computers through the Gifts In Kind International (GIKI) program in collaboration with the local software company, Synopsys.
Application requirements and instructions:
- Your organization must be a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides a program serving youth in grades K-12.
- Grant application answers must be typed and contain 200 words or less.
- Applicant must have a GIKI donation recipient agreement on file with United Way or submit one along with this application.
- Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19th 2008. Late applications will not be accepted for any reason.
- If your program is chosen as a recipient for one or more computers, your organization agrees to pay a $20 administrative fee (per computer) to cover the costs of administering this grant process and Gifts In Kind compliance measures.
Notebook computer specifications:The donated notebook computers have at least a 900 MHz processor, approximately 10GB hard drive and 256 MB of RAM, CD-ROM and 3.4” 1.44 MB floppy disk drive. Each system will have an operating system of XP installed. Please be sure to carefully review your organization’s technology platform requirements to ensure that this donation will meet your needs before applying.
